Dear Valued Customer,

Beginning October 22, Windows 7 will be widely available for purchase as an upgrade or on newly purchased systems.

Most real estate agents live within acceptable cell coverage, so their ActiveKEYs update automatically. These agents will not be impacted by Windows 7.

The remainder of agents update their ActiveKEYs using their PC. These agents should be advised that they will not be able to update their ActiveKEY on a PC with the 64-bit version of the Windows 7 Operating System.

Depending on the agent’s PC, Windows 7 will either be a 32-bit Operating System or a 64-bit Operating System.

ActiveKEY PC Sync is only compatible with the 32-bit version of the Windows 7 Operating System (the vast majority of all new and existing systems).

We are currently developing this utility for 64-bit computers and will let agents know when that software is available. Until that time, if an agent wants to be able to update his/her ActiveKEY using a PC they should delay upgrading to or purchasing a 64-bit Windows 7 Operating System.

If an ActiveKEY customer does not live in acceptable coverage and only has access to a Windows 64-bit Operating System, GE Security’s Agent Support team will provide them update codes. Agents that fit this profile should obtain an update code by:

  • Phoning Agent Support at 1-877-699-6787 Option 3 > Option 4 > Option 8 to get to the ActiveKEY queue.
  • Once they reach a representative, they should say: “I’m calling with an ActiveKEY on a Windows 7/Windows 64 bit system and I need and update code.”
  • The representative confirm that the agent has not been inactivated by the board and then immediately generate an update code.

Thank you,

GE Security Support Team

Focused on Showings:

  • Customize a showing report for your clients. Include your contact information and even a picture or a logo if you like!
  • Set the report up to automatically email your client about the showings on their home.
  • Configure the reports to include feedback while removing showing agent contact information. Also a great tool to help you follow-up with agents that showed your listings.

Dear Valued Customer,

On Friday, October 16th starting at 7:30pm PST through Saturday, October 17th at 7:30pm PST,  GE Security will be conducting routine maintenance at our data center. During this time SupraNET, Agent Web Pay and IVR will not be available. Keyholders will be able to eSYNC, get voice updates and log into KimWeb during  the maintenance period. Supra Keyholder Support, 877-699-6787, will be available to provide assistance for any keyholder who needs to update their key.

Thank you,

GE Security Support Team

New Website Coming Soon!

In the coming weeks we will be upgrading our KIMweb website and each week leading up to the change, we will be sending out information on how the tools will assist you in managing your listings. This week we are showing the new Listing Inventory tool.

If you’re a Seller’s Agent, you’ve probably received feedback on a listing that said it was a little high compared to comparable listings. If you’re a Buyer’s Agent, you’ve probably shown a home that your customers loved, but didn’t want to go to the top of their price range. In either event, the Seller just agreed to reduce the price and you want to get the word out and make sure those interested customers get a second chance to make a buying decision.

  • No Problem!  Easily send a pricing change or other update to all the agents that showed the property.
  • Want to make sure they remember the listing?  Add a picture of a listing and it will appear in your inventory page as well as in showing reports for all the agents that showed your property.

Attached is a flyer that can be sent out to your members.  Click on the SupraWEB link to the right to download the flyer.

On April 2, 2009 the Housing Affordability Fund launched a new program designed to provide peace of mind to first-time buyers who are hesitant to enter the housing market due to concerns about potential job loss, and subsequently being unable to meet their monthly mortgage obligations. Qualifying buyers can receive up to $1,500 a month for up to six months in the event of job loss, a qualified co-buyer can also receive a $750 benefit for up to six months to help pay the mortgage.

To qualify for the Mortgage Protection Program, Applicants must:

  • Be a first-time home buyer – someone who has not owned property in the last three years (includes co-buyer).
  • Open escrow April 2, 2009, or later, and close on or before Dec. 31, 2009 (purchase agreement cannot be dated before April 2, 2009)
  • Use a California REALTOR® in the transaction
  • Purchase the property in California
  • Be a W-2 employee (cannot be self-employed)

MORTGAGE PROTECTION PROGRAM PRE-QUALIFY YOUR CLIENT! Due to the demand for the program, we have created a pre-qualification process that will ensure you get a policy if your client meets the program qualifications and closes escrow before December 31, 2009. Just fill out the application and submit with a copy of the qualifying executed purchase agreement – your file will be approved pending the receipt of the HUD-1 Closing statement indicating the close of escrow for your buyer.
